hi friends.

I'm a soul singer & songwriter & nomad.

Music has followed me from coast to coast, across the ocean, and through all the stages of my life. I love talented people, and have spent my time singing background vocals for all kinds of artists. I've been lucky enough to explore many genres of music - country, rock, indie/folk, music theatre, and blues.

I'm an extrovert by nature, but when it comes to my own music, I've been guarded - preferring the security of working on other artists' material. These beautiful people have been my scene partners and my comfort zone, providing a barrier between a fully exposed me and our listeners.

Music City has allowed me the space to bring my first solo project to fruition. 2020 (with all its mishaps) has given me the time to create something original and 100% me.

During a visit to New Orleans, my 91 year-old grandmother "Mamee" heard the demo for the first time. While musing on the folky style of the record, she started telling me a story about the legendary Cajun Blue Dog paintings by George Rodriguez. Every night, the moon would cast a shadow on the lone dog, as he howled up at the night sky.

"Moon-eyed" means "eyes wide open." This feels more than appropriate for my solo debut. This record is an exploration of the 5 stages of grief. It touches on my most significant relationships, and has forced me to confront my inability to let go.

It forced me to open my eyes.

It's moon-eyed soul.

This is the first time I've allowed myself to let go of other people's expectations. It's raw, and I'm proud of that. My hope is that you find something in it for you.

My debut solo single, Smoke & Mirrors, dropped October 1st. It will be followed by my debut EP of the same name, dropping January 2021.

You are my new scene partners.

I hope you'll take a listen.
